The CavemanA Poem by martinos74Based on a man who lives in a cave in Wilderness, South Africa. He's lived there for years and made it into a refuge for the homeless. You see, he was a shy man, But he liked company, He felt reassured having others in his cave. Day by day, the sun rose, and the sun fell, The caveman stayed there, waiting for strangers to fill his beds, One evening no strangers came any more, The beds were empty. Just him, The sea, The stars, And the moon. Last night I met a caveman, He's still waiting in his cave.
