38' BluesA Poem by martinos74What it felt like after a recent music festival! Recording found at: https://soundcloud.com/martinos74/38bluesRecording found at: https://soundcloud.com/martinos74/38blues 38 years and I've been dancing in a field,With all the vagabonds, the sinners, the children and the thieves. Captain Morgan's, Special K,some herbal and some fun, Take some acid, mum and dad, and go dancing in the sun I've got a toothache, blood blister, bad breath and the runs, Double vision, broken kidneys, and a mission to be done. These people that surround me, are just as bad as me, Older and wiser, same sense of frailty, It was only a few years ago, When this was all new to me. The freedom, the wrecklessness, care free, overflowing, on a knife edge, on my knees. Lets have one more, lets have one more, I hate sobriety , What's that gaping hole, that jaded society? It laughs, it tires, it grows old, if fades, It leaves you empty, it's stark reality. Pack on out of here, or you'll meet the other 2, They parted, they parted, They never grew old.
