The Game

The Game

A Poem by lyricalmiracle
"

Unrequited love... what more can i say

"
A day
A month
A year
Still no joy i fear
always ends in tears
can't get more severe
talk behind their hands
imma steal a glance
do i dare take a chance
this game's a cruel dance
so much to lose
her lips when she chews
set my mind on cruise
why can't she just choose me?
or anybody??
set me free
give me back my liberty
is she blind can't she see i'm burning up
wonder if she's turning up
still yearning
but i'm never learning
is it the money I'm not earning
now she got me curling
bending over back
til i hear a crack
no that's enough of that
soon i gotta move on
been bleeding so long
hollow optimism leading me on
no, i won't even try
cuz every time i look into her eyes
a part of me dies
the stuff i say is lies
if i tell you i don't care
cuz it's just not fair
man i can't help but stare.
