A Poem by Marissa

today I write in isolation

dictation of my mind's impatience

closets full of coats and umbrellas,

they don't protect my throbbing core

from bursting among the saturation.

apathetic to their watching faces

as my feet get lost in paces

cloudy eyes, teardrop skies

it's hard to get away from here

they won't let me get away there

the only way to get away

is to get away to nowhere.

----page notes:

Today I write in isolation, dictation of my mind's impatience. apathetic toward completion and if it makes your kind of sense. closet's full of coats and umbrellas, they don't protect my core from it's burst within saturation. humans turning inanimate objects into complications of heavy loving.
