Heartbreak is a Creeper

Heartbreak is a Creeper

A Poem by Marissa
"

This reflects the drawn out break up which took years to happen, the last 3 of it to be exact.

"
I remember stepping out like, is this what I really want to do?
I guess, so I did,
I did walk out on one just to splash into another mess.
the rain was flooding both above and below me,
washed the tender thoughts of loss from my heart to
my brain, down to the rocks which my feet obtain blistering stains.
kicked the car and drove away.
two blocks from you, I could not sit still,
got out like I was headed your way;
but I kept walking and I continued to saturate.
every drop was among stars in the above cloud space,
a broken shower, flooding my grace.

I took the time to untie my lies,
trashed some of your pride, stood up when you said bye.
we both know some arrogance still made way to hide.
I wait for the automated instructions to arrive,
to the back of my head go my eyes,
punching 7s and 9s.
alone I'd cheeze with every alter ego you put on the line.
wish I could reach those I left you and
PQRS memorable love of mine.

I like to consider this one as future lyrics for a song

Very nice. Well-written. The last stanza sounds like a song. I can see this poem as a song. I really like the sixth line. :)
