SHELTERA Poem by Listmakerinspired by Ray LaMontagne's song "Shelter."SHELTER
A soul in pain cries out for shelter Shelter from the unbearable hurt of losing its most beloved one Shelter allowing healing to begin Shelter to distract the worried mind Shelter from self-inflicted psychological torture The cry is long and loud and piercing The cry is heard Shelter is given The tortured soul relaxes, collapses into the arms of shelter With shelter there is a chance for the soul to heal, to breathe easier, to come out of the darkness into the sunlight, to enjoy, to open self to love again
