Sweetlip's thought

Sweetlip's thought

A Poem by Marshal Gebbie

Meanderings of maudlin whit

Out beyond the thoughts that hit,

On matters vital and profound,

Which cause progression’s surge to ground.

Rather those that sit mundane

In ordinary pedestrian vein.

Living thoughts which cloud the mind,

Congesting inspiration’s  find.

Sifting thoughts of where to cope

To seek diversion’s antidote,

To caste away confusion’s hiss,

To render clear...Creation’s Kiss!
