This is what I beleiveA Chapter by MusicLoverAn english assingment now on hereI believe that music is one of the best inventions that have been created. Music is used in so many places and used for so many purposes. Music is a big part in my life today as a high school student. I have a lot of music in my background. One of my electives in middle school and high school year is Band. I play a wooden beauty used to tempt those in to the dark with its low mellow tones and high notes and the squeaks. I play a clarinet. This is my fourth year playing. I feel as though all my cares flow out of me, like it is a piece of music that we memorized. The easy transition of the melody from the golden trombones to the golden alto saxophones brings my heart to joy. I started to play music in 2006 when I started to play the piano. I would have lessons every Saturday. My dad inspired me to play piano when he said he could do cool “tricks”. I asked him “Can you play a musical instrument?” He replied saying “In high school I used to play baritone and trumpet and I played around with the drums. I was in my high school marching band.” So in 7th grade I decided to go into band. That is when I found my musical playing passion which is the same today. I dropped piano and I am still playing clarinet. While I am working I need music to help me concentrate. I don’t know why but I have a hard time concentrating without music. I can concentrate without music in school but for homework I need music. Music also helps me focus my emotions also. When I listen to an upbeat song I have a lot of focus and the opposite. Music is also like a metaphorical friend. Music is a strong passion. Music is dedication and patience. It takes time learning song lyrics, a music piece, or even the marching show. Many people say that marching band is of losers, well call me a loser. I love marching band. It has helped me improve my playing skills so much and I love it. Also it is a good way to lose weight, especially during the summer practices. I mean it is not a cake walk; there is music to memorize a show to memorize and the uniforms. But other than that marching band is a passion. It is a passion that helps improve you playing ability while accomplishing things that you never thought possible. Marching band is my life for half of the school year. I believe that I get my love of music from my mom. When I was younger, before she died, I remember that we were putting up the Christmas tree and she would be dancing and I would to. We used to make fun, in a good way of course of our dancing. We always were acting like two peas in a pod. She also sung while she brushed my hair which took forever because my hair was past my knees. The year that she died she was going to give me an iPod so I still have it and I love it. I still will use it even if it is 4 years old. Though I had different music aspects around, no one could guess that I am a clarinet player. So each day I put together a 5 piece crafted black wooden clarinet and stick the reed in my mouth. Then we play and I feel as light as a feather. So I did not get my dad’s baritone talent. Maybe my mom played clarinet. I will never got a chance to ask because a year after she died I started playing. I never knew I could play till that one fateful day in September when I first played my note. © 2012 MusicLoverAuthor's Note
