Just Remember

Just Remember

A Poem by Marquise

Just Remember

Just because my mind is at ease
does not mean you have my attention

And just because your fingertips
are still allowed to climb my
back doesn't mean there won't
be some resistance

Just because our lips still
feel the moistness does not
mean I feel the sensual bliss

Your road my not be long
to climb now, but do not
get caught up in distance

Just because I love you,
doesn't mean I trust you

And even when I learn to
trust you,
It doesn't mean I'll learn to
forgive you

And If I can't forgive you,
maybe I've never trusted my own
love for you at all...

Liked this mentally and emotionally complex piece.
You did a nice job 'building' the emotion in this.
Just a few typo's
back doesn't mean their won't (there)
And just because you fingertips (your)
And If i can't forgive you (I)
I really enjoyed this. (Sorry it took so long for me to get to )

Scars go so deep sometimes that there is no healing. I enjoyed reading this poem because people always say to forgive and forget. I truly believe the only being that can forgive and forget is God. We are human and the flesh is weak to sin and it's hard us to forgive when we were hurt by someone else. You have a God given talent.

The thoughts in our heads often are left silent as we try press through our fears to be loved.

I think you captured the internal dialogue of a heart that has been given a reason not to believe..

Excellent

Interesting thought proccesses, I really understand and much admire this poem.

The last stanza says it all to me,

"And If i can't forgive you,
maybe I've never trusted my own
love for you at all..."

Well written poem my friend =)
