The Fairy's Jealousy

The Fairy's Jealousy

A Poem by Marley Derailed
"

A little poem I wrote for my friend <3

"
Walking through the meadow to sit down by the lake,
sunlight playing on her hair, she leaves glitter in her wake.

A little fairy maiden perched in a nearby tree.
She sees the girl wander by, singing softly.

The world seems to love the girl so the fairy watches close.
Sees the grass reach out to touch her, sees the lake kiss her toes.

Butterflies dance 'round her head, the wind sighs with happiness
and the trees bend down to meet her.

The fairy feels a strange sensation and realizes to her amazement
that although she's magical and fair
she's jealous of the girl with sunlight in her hair.
