I have no words of magic

I have no words of magic

A Poem by Mark Heathcote

I have no words of magic

Let moths eat my verse

Let light disperse through the fabric

Let all words incline - onwards

And upwards translucent

As a breath upon a windowpane

Gazing inwards ever silent

To the mysteries we contain.

This was really very lovely, Mark. I like the emotional impact of it, as well as the smooth ease of the message and flow. It is true, we have no "words of magic", but what is magic is the emotions we are able to instill within others as they read our work. One tiny suggestion...in such a short poem, perhaps switch out the word "words" in the second line "Let moths eat my verse", perhaps? That way it's not a sticking point in terms of the flow of the read. Beautifully done, though, I quite enjoyed the read.
