Losing A FriendA Poem by Markus AnthonyIM rotation was that b***h.
I lost a friend in August
When blood and sputum stained my whites And sleep was a luxury I'll grab anytime As I cared for adults, to their wellness or decline. I regret the day I spoke of evil words A seed for chaos farmed by evil souls From then on I only spoke near the purest Or I'll risk the company I love dearest. The hindrance to my sleep Was a deep cut in my heart Huge waves water my eyes As good memories rush every time. This year will cap, in good light I hope With our togas green, and tassels dangling right True and sweet, will be my hugs To my friend next to me, smiling bright. © 2020 Markus AnthonyAuthor's Note
