CataloggedA Poem by MarkI've never been accused of being a cat person...except there was this one....Anyway, Haiku seemed to fit with the inscrutable nature of cats, this one anyway...CATALOGGED
A strange thing occurred, But I can scarce believe it: Cat-aclysmic, yes!
Did I not e'er say, Even from my childhood on, Felines were Ba'al's spawn?
Guin is the beast's name. How it happened, I know not: I by her am smote!
Jumps about like mad! Kitten of about four years, Laying on my breast
Most uncattish, she; No Gallic disdain is hers, Or standoffishness.
Purrs not loud, nor oft. Quietly nuzzles her head Rhythmic, underhand.
She signals, "It's time "To scratch here, where tongue won't reach, "Underneath my chin!"
Vigilantly, she Watches me bathe, dress, read, sleep: Xenomorph, for sure!
Yes! I DO love her; Zealously I seek love from A cat: Guinevere
