Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by Mark
"

Because of my fat, I float really well, and took, years ago, to floating on my back, often for hours, as a means of relaxation or meditation. This sprang from that...

"
STILLNESS

Laying on my fat,
Floating, and meditating,
Thinking fleshless thoughts:

Reminiscences
Of un-lived lives and futures
Camouflaging fear.

Does the poem live
'Pon self-contained energia,
Or my inertia?

Wow! I have never been fond of Haiku but I really like this. It is well penned and thought provoking. This really hit home to me:

"Reminiscences
Of un-lived lives and futures
Camouflaging fear"

I loved this one and hence came back for a re-read. Reminiscence from past....so many butterflies in mind.
Restlessness yet a strange peace, a sense of purpose, a sense of doing it right, a sense of unfulfillment yet a sense of peace, peace and peace.

*smiling*
some beautiful lines here....like

Reminiscences
Of un-lived lives and futures
Camouflaging fear.

So very true...
and when we know about it, we have conquered it....right?
