A new form (to me), the Diamante..Having recently received such effusive praise for my first, of course I had to try another, this time on the subject of...THANKS!
Oh thanks Mark...now I have to explore another form and try something new....
I have seen this...but forgot about it...might have been the first one you wrote...
I tried the villanelle...I guess it's now time for the Diamante...
Anyway...since I know nothing about the style...is it fair to critique other than to say I like it... for what it is and what it does...
nice job (for now) Mark
keep those juices flowing

I can't resist a challenge, so I quickly dashed one off, then, a half hour later, this one joined it. It's pretty elementary: Line One-one word, a noun; Line 2-Two adjectives describing that noun; Line 3-three "-ing" words--gerund or adjective--also relevant to the noun; Line 4-two PAIR of nouns, first pair relating the above noun. Lines 5,6 and 7 are the reverse of above--three -ing's. two adjs. and a noun. The second pair in line 4 refer to the noun in Line 7. Actually sounds harder than it is, but re-read the above, and see how one flows into the next. Thanks due to "justjenn-2u" for hitting me with the idea. Read "diamante" for another example.
Writing, for me, has always been the friend who brought out the best in me, and who would never argue with me, except when necessary to point out my many obvious inconsistancies.
Writing and.. more..
