StorytellingA Poem by Marissa Fromm.01
I look for you in all of the characters
in the books I read, compare them to you and think about how much you were dressed up like a fairy-tale. I still need you, but I'm learning to be okay like when I am grocery shopping and I can't reach the top shelf or when I am cooking and I only set one seat at the table. But my God, when I woke up I couldn't shake the times I spent falling in love with your childhood stories, the person you become after one too many drinks, the way you dance through the rain - storms even after I panic about getting soaked. So I make myself tea and tell myself I am doing perfectly fine without you, even though my heart wasn't fooled this time.
