My Prayer <3

Lord, I praise you for blessing me with such amazing people in my life. <3

God,

I pray to you

To keep her safe.

I pray you keep me strong,

through the good, the bad

The easy and the hard.

Lord,

You have all the power.

I believe you'll do what's best.

I pray that if you take her,

That you assure her...

That I love(d) her.

God,

I pray that if that was Good-Bye

She knows I cherished her.

God,

If you take her away...

Will you do me a favor?

Tell her she meant the world to me.

And that I'll be okay...

Even though it hurts

Because I know she's safe

In heaven with you.

please be with me through the pain...and carry me 

through it all.

Author's Note

This poem is about my Great-Grandma she was going through surgery and was really sick...we weren't sure f she was going to make it so I wrote this poem....God left her here on earth with me for atleast a little bit longer...I thank him for it very much.

Amazing poetry :) Brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad she's here with you. This is a really touching piece. Death is a hard time. And the days of waiting in a hospital is in a way much worse. You're frozen. You don't know what will come, but you have an idea of your 2 possibilities. And one of them is too hard for you to consider. The praying, the fear, the sleepless worrying...soon it's all just a bad memory...
