That Moment:

I think it's pretty explanitory, but if there is any confusion at all message me or comment and I will explain to help.

I'm scared of being happy,

Of what will happen after the moment passes by.

 

The feeling I get in my stomach as I smile.

The thoughts that surround my head as I laugh.

 

It's that thought that I can't get rid of,

The one how I feel like you don't want me happy.

 

I know I'm crazy for thinking that way,

But it's unfortunately how I feel.

 

You see me smiling and laughing with others,

And you try to ruin what happiness I have left.

 

Who cares if they are blood?

To me they will always be my family too.

 

They aren't taking your place,

But your not taking you're place either.

 

I love the moments I have with them,

They care and make me feel like I am something.

 

The moments here with you,

Make me feel like I'm nothing.

 

The only thing now is,

To pray that the moments of happiness...don't pass by.

Did you mean "aren't blood" or am i misreading what you are trying to convey? This is a heartfelt piece. I am so sorry someone you should be close to, makes you feel unimportant. Strained relationships often result from a lack of communication of one's true feelings.

I actually purposely put that as a simple question as in what's it matter um hard to explain but it's like asking whats it matter if they are blood....And yeah it's difficult because it's my mom we can act like nothing wrong but she treats me so different from my 2 siblings who are older than me....and she isn't happy with who I am as in i'm nothing like my siblings and that bothers her....this poem is basically pouinting out that to me you don't have to be blood related to be a family and fortunately I met a family at my church that I've become real close with and they're my second family and it's saying that you know she should just be happy that I'm happy whether it's with my real family or not I'm the happiest with them and it's not that i don't love my real family it's just they care and show me and I don't get that from my real family....well I'll stop blabing now and if you have any more questions pleae feel free to ask.

That is what I thought you were implying. The miscommunication was I thought the "they" was referring to the other people that made you feel loved, not your siblings....Do you think you could have a heart to heart with your mom and share what you just told me ?

No, it is with the other people not my siblings.....and um I've tried it didn't work and she didn't see anything wrong so the whole talking to her about it went out the window now we talk when we're around each other or when we have to.
