I am enough

this is about how i was with my other family as i like to call them and i started crying over something that had happened and the woman is like my other mom...i think its explanitory from there on out

You try to calm me,

As the tears roll down my face.

 

All I ever wanted was to be good enough,

It's just not as simple as you think.

 

I'm sorry for crying,

Is all I could say to you.

 

I try to fight back the tears,

But they just get worse.

 

I love you more and more everyday-

For loving me.

 

I used to pray that I'd make my mom proud,

Instead God blessed me with you.

 

I may not be enough for my real mom,

But I'm more than enough for you...the woman I like to call mommy.

even the best of mothers are human beings with their own shortcomings.. so we are sometimes given other mothers to fill the gaps.. how lucky you are..

I like to think of myself as very lucky because I know without the woman who's a 2nd mom to me i wouldn't be half the kid i am now. I appreciate her very much...although aying that it's not like I'm sayin I don't love my real mom it's just more complicated...

it usually is.. be at peace.. the heart is malleable.. it stretches easily to accommodate all of our loves.. and loving one does not diminish love for the other.. rather.. it enhances..
