I summon your name

I summon your name

A Poem by Marina J.

If there was ever a time to reach out, it's now.
If there was ever any real love, say something, somehow.
The depth of my soul, where you made your home,
Is the darkest place, where I hide my roam.

If there was any real connection, I summon your name in pain,
It's not as sharp as before, but I’m still like a wrecked train.
You left without taking the love that I gave,
Yet still, I remain in this hollow cave.

If there was ever a time to reach out, it's today,
Don't leave me here, because the dust is starting to sway.
Did you really find someone better, someone new,
Someone to erase all the past we once knew?

If there were ever any true emotions in your heart, please come back and stay...
