Bring You Home

Bring You Home

A Poem by Marimartha Mardynz
"

you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure mom

"
Sitting there beside your sick bed,
i felt love flow from my heart to yours
and from yours to mine.
That one battle you couldn't fight.
There i watched you pain.
Asked God to take the pain.
Didnt know the pain would take you along with it.

Sitting there i watched you fade away,
saw you take your last breathe,
as your golden heart stopped beating.
Held your cold palm in the warmth of mine
calling out to you from the depths of my heart.
If love alone could have saved you,
mother you would never have died.

It is lonesome here without you.
i hold u at heart 'cause love belongs inside.
i know because i have been there with you.
Crying still echoes the walls of this lone house
the same walls that held laughter and life.
The world is scary and confusing without you.
if all of these tears could build a stairway to heaven,
i'd walk down that path, greet you with a smile,
and bring you home.
