just rambling thoughts to describe a life at least a try once again for expression
to venture down the elevator, outside in the fresh air would be uplifting..invigorating . to suffer- as thousands have and to die alone not so happy... just be breathing the air and talking with someone, human interaction, can cause this catastrope... what a horrid predicament we humans now endure yet being alone has it pleasures.. no pressure to dress or work to be lazy and alone has a little bit of freedom, like eating banana chips and stuffed grape leaves for breakfast with dark coffee.. no milk today is available
there is the luxury of having food brought '' contactless'' to the hall... while surrounding this bubble, people are being shot and destroyed.. buildings and stores desecrated ,and people, alone in hospital beds trying to breathe... ventelators humming......
ups and downs like the elevator of life, come what may!
I love this powerful statement that paints a slice of life for many in the pandemic. I love how what you're saying is ambivalent - kinda like lockdown, kinda hate it. You use a ton of very original-sounding details to paint this scene unlike the millions being painted these days. It's like how children are told to take a crayon & draw what hurts -- this is what the masses do -- draw the way life seems so weird & wrong now, as a means to absorb & assimilate the new normal (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Rambling thoughts, maybe, but together they capture this strange time very well. I lived through the tumultuous '60's, but they were mild compared to what we're going through now.

I was actually last weekend wrote at same manner. Just few thoughts and situation what already happen. It's just kind of my mosaic how actually my mind work with a reality. Your writing seems pretty free and liberating. You words bring it ordinary reality but they are powerful with authenticity and honesty. It's kind or reminds me writing of Raymond Carver or John Gardner. You also brought some reflection of our political and social issues. It give writing some kind of resonating what we experience and we can more easy relate to your writing. I enjoyed.

the expression is excellent here...the stream of consciousness style gives us that feeling of going down on the elevator...and wondering if it will ever go up again...times are so confusing right now...normalcy is gone and may never come back to what it once was...
a sad state we are on...and many are just making it worse.
