WHAT IT IS LIKE TO SERVE OTHERS
BELL RINGS THEY HOP THEY BRING PATIENTS THE MEDICINE WATER, AND ESCORT THEM BACK TO BED IF NEEDED THEY REASSURE THEY ARE FAST AND SCURR;Y FROM ONE HUMAN BEING TO ANOTHER MAKING FRIENDS PUTTING IN IV'S REASSURING THEM THAT THEY WILL LIVE THEY ARE BRISK AND COMPETENT... EVERY DAY OF THEIR WORKING LIVES AND MAYBE JUST MAYBE COMPLAINING PRIVATELY OR LAUGHING AT THE IDIOSCRINIES OF SOME YET THEY ARE THERE TO SERVE AND THEY DO..... AND AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY ALMOST DROP FROM EXHAUSTION AND LIKE A SOLDIER,STAND UP STRAIGHT AND GO HOME TO SUPPER Marilyn Nepp Sturner feb 19 2918 the patieint waits the bed is single the sheets clean and white the place is a waiting place for help, for healing and for.. hours or waiting alone until the next nurse or aid arrives the tv hummmss and the quiet of your thoughts , the stillness of the room exists only.. and the doctors use their expert training to save your life assuring you that your time is going to continue Marilyn Sturner march 1 2018
