giving up on a long ago deamA Poem by marilyn 1225never wish what is not yours there are consequences with an untrue love
what would it be like to have paired with what you wished for all of these years
like having a monkey's paw -- your wish would turn to tragedy your loved one's eyes would roam he would push you away every day out of his mouth, would come curses and screams: "you aint no body's dream your ugly , your fat old as a cat can't take you out in public your body aint hot-- Scat!" and off he goes texting those he loves, with the golden toes how lucky that wishes do not come true an abusive tongue, and a cold cold heart would eat and destroy , mock and discard all that had promise of the deepest tree of passion-- a couple in love with the heart now disasembled hung by a rope , done in by smoke................ lesson learned dont wish accept what you have and be satisfied
