the scent of fun

silliness is healthy fun and youthful

   once upon a time, a magic spell was put on this grandmother 

   this spell lasted for several hours

   it was like a red rose of youth

    with a fragrance so fine

    it brought a feeling devine

   it made a frown turn upside down

    it made the insides chuckle

    it made a hopeful grin

     pierce the room,dusting away the cobwebs and  any chagrin,,,,

     now this spell, like  a blooming rose

     so ripe and tender

     was a gift

    for the day

    and , as all good things  do--

     it disappeared or blew , away

     to cheer up someone else - needy and new

    but the lesson learned-

    if there  be such a thing-

    is that in the depths of hell

      for a minute or hour

     or even a day ,that youthful spell,

       that silly lie,

       that joke at play

       Can surely liberate  a day
