Holding You

Holding You

A Poem by The Musings of Mary H.

when you are in my arms I have the world
the filthy earth shakes from the quivers
of my beating heart, thrashing at its cage
Tears flounce your shoulder in breezes
I can not help but to love you intensely
my soul, you are my countless todays
soil of tomorrow is sown through each
kiss stroke of your sturdy hand your
ear-to-ear beam in amusement of my
enchantment in you and I am star-gazed
amazed, taken in by fragrance of your skin
care of words you rest in my foundation
thankful west winds blew you my direction
swiftly swathed by me as your soft haven

I fell inlove with this line. It's so simple but I dunno.. I just felt it. It's sweet, I wish I knew what love like that felt like. Tears of joy, heart pounding out of your chest. Wow this is a lucky guy! Such a sweet poem and I love best that it is short. To the point, this is how I feel, period.
