Spring Bird PoemsA Poem by The Musings of Mary H.Spring Collection
1
Everyone should have a spring bird
Singing songs of coo
a morning rhapsody
shrills of amusement
to a new day
2
Why should crows
beat on your sill
For your crumbs
the sum of what
Is left of your nourishment?
they want more than
little morsels
Of flesh
perhaps whole of
your mortal soul
An article of trade
beloved by the devil
himself.
So I have heard.
3
I have a spring bird
in a cage
can not help
being a little sad
I put it there
and gave it a name.
