UmbrellaA Poem by The Musings of Mary H.Spring collection
Is an umbrella keeping in
Or keeping out?
Forbid my hair turn into
Frizz curlettes
or designed
For mop water
Fresh coat of make-up
path to destruction
Down my face
Perhaps few drops in my
Shade of blue eyes
Down the nape
Of my neck in
An icy cold rush.
Or perhaps
I shall enjoy
Freshness on my tongue
scintillating puddles
On my arms in
Soft silk sateen
Tickling my cheeks
drenching my clothes
Through to my soul
Swelling laughter
In childish delight.
