Do Not Forget The Rogues

Do Not Forget The Rogues

A Poem by The Musings of Mary H.
"

a child's ditty enjoyed by any

"

Do not forget the rogues, the rogues
They soon will steal your wheat, the wheat

Sniveling in your chicken dens
Heckling the pregnant hens
Paint white stripes on your Bessie cow
Dance with the children and wife endow
Prance ditties with dog and with kitties
Laugh at your pities and your bitties
Make the goat chew your hat flat
Shake the boat where your cat sat
Sneaking on your bedroom floor
Creaking at your bathroom door
Tickle your feet with a big red beet
Jiggle your sheet, eating yummy sweet.

Please... do not forget the rogues, the rogues
They soon will steal your wheat, the wheat.

A clever little ditty. Rogues sound like they have a lot in common with pixies.
