Lullabies For My ChildrenA Poem by The Musings of Mary H.I dedicate this to my unborn children.
I long of your entrance into
this harsh, incredible world
to see your bright eyes
hear your iridescent ideas
giggles, mash potatoes,
jelly globs waltzing the kitchen
healing ear infections and lullabies
Lullabies for my children
life on Hushabye Mountain
laying in cradle on a tree
all night angels watching
over thee
You shall have no closets
no under the beds for
googy-eyed creatures
to come out at night
kissed bo-bos if you fall
smiley band aids, cherry
flavoraid with heart-shaped
pancakes and... lullabies
Lullabies for my children
life on Hushabye Mountain
laying in cradle on a tree
all night angels watching
over thee
I will love away your fears
wipe away your tears
hug until you smile
tickles, icky popsicles
I've sat on at least one
read you bedtime stories
listen to you read yours
singing with me lullabies
Lullabies for my children
life on Hushabye Mountain
laying in cradle on a tree
all night angels watching
over thee
