Cornmoon Whiskey Dance

Cornmoon Whiskey Dance

A Poem by The Musings of Mary H.
"

Da Dum, Da Dum, Da Dum...and I saw your face...

"

 My heart
is pretty jazzed
my legs are winged
to dancing and I hear
saxophones tiptoeing
trumpeting the bass

drums beating
 Da dum,
Da dum, Da dum

…and I see your face.

the cornmoon beaming
           spotless over waters
whiskey rivers ever flow
          my mind is adoring
I love you, I love you

fish jigging jamborees
saxophones tiptoeing
trumpeting the bass

drums beating
Da dum,
Da dum,Da dum

…and I see your face.

trees wave their branches
         above hugging waves
bursts of light
        waltz amidst thunder

drops drowning fires
     drop, drop, drop,
     glory splendor be

saxophones tiptoeing
trumpeting the bass

drums beating
Da dum,
Da dum, Da dum
da dum,
da dum, da dum

…and I see your face
