A Poem by The Musings of Mary H.
"

My heart jolts from being frozen to life unchanged.

"

Darkness looms on my bed

I hear you cry all around me

my heart jolts from being

frozen to life unchained

gathering senses as I could

put a robe around my frigid

body sprinting to hunt your

voice in empty, echoed areas

one room has my books

a dusty collection of seashells

one room abandoned, another

is a small kitchen and window

you are now wailing in fear

tears are trailing down my

face, my mind is racing

thoughts of you hungry

needing me to feed you

I check the bathroom a final

time before I trip over a box

of your precious, tiny items

a box with your lovely name

in cardboard was all I ever

had of your sound as I never

heard it the maddened day I

gave birth to you.

to you

Beautiful...

Your piece moved me, they choked my throat, held my heart in chains...and yet there were no tears...

Awesome piece. May God Bless You!
