BrokenA Poem by The Musings of Mary H."A human heart, her soul...in such pain as this"
Rivers of ebony streamed
Down her golden face
She felt shifts collide
Under the splendored earth
Silence thundered across
The reddened desert hazed
In azure, exalted skies
Winds latent behind cotton
Clouds of elegance beheld
Sun sat next to moon in
Discomfit over a dreaded
Discovery as a weed
Growing in a bed of flowers
A human heart, her soul
A creature made to love
Care as no other entity
Majestic nature could
Never understand in
And above green grass
Amber fields of wheat
A broken vessel, pieced apart
Vase in shards, fragments
A human heart, her soul
In such pain as this.
