hands and feetA Poem by mariehelenejust a heartfelt poemHands and Feet Hands and feet blackened, looking like gnarled roots dug into the soil, sunbaked face, wrinkled by the wind white hair whisps tossed out of a scarf a smile brightened by the sun a soul , fed by the earth God and the soil a life that long awaited the growing time and a happiness that comes with the joy of digging in the dirt relishing life renewed and the growth of treasured friends.
