GigglesA Poem by Mari R-JIt's 8am and I'm exhausted. Birds chirp outside like evil minions. Little hands cover my eyes. Butterfly kisses on my cheeks. I find the tickle spot on her belly. Giggles erupt from her tiny mouth. Mornings are my enemy. Daylight is torture to my eyes. But giggles from my Laila wake me like fluttering angel wings. © 2016 Mari R-J |
