A Poem by Marian Elizabeth
"

A poem from my collection "Between Anorexia and I"

"

In the humid days of Spring I dwell in forbidden corners.

My stomach weeps in despair as I dream of cherry tarts.

Chuckling at my simple fantasy, amused Anorexia says,

“I like the feminine craving; you may paint your lips cerise,

In Japan you may pick blossoms, but you’ll never taste the sweet”
