UntitledA Poem by Marian ElizabethSitting at a chill cafe, Under the spell of good jazz, I felt a bohemian thread Bind the vessels in my heart And I thought of trinkets, cheap, Interlaced with shells and beads And feathers of teal tones That gently masked blue eye charms. I craved to adorn my ankles, yes, For I thought the Moon would do too If she had slender legs and coins To buy dazzling talismans. In my mind she strongly loved it, Being silver and embellished, From crest to crest her lure enhanced, I almost stood up and left But the tune that had been playing As quick as it started, died. © 2016 Marian ElizabethReviews
