A Poem by Marian Elizabeth
"

From my collection "Women: Little Moments in Time"

"

See how beauty is holistic

For women of my same breed.

If creative diction means

That my body’s bound to fail

Then I will die.

These eyelashes will extend

To the horizon,

There where my mind dares live.

If my lips can’t kiss my pen

Then better die.

And feelings…

I believed despair to reign

In the aesthetics of hearts.

Behind the eyes are worlds awaiting sharing and discovery... dreams are ageless, and touching stars are but a moment's reverie.
