What is love?

This is a free verse poem I just thought I would write about. Little things that come off in my mind.

What is love?

Love is the burst to get up in the morning.

The essence of sensibility and control.

Love is what drives you to achieve and pursue your goals.

It is in your dreams, in your heart and in your mind.

It is the fire, that burns in your veins and heals at the same time.

Keeps you motivated, focused.

We were made, to love.

We were given the ability to have and express these emotions freely.

There is no definition for love.

Each person has a different perspective.

To me, love is the powerful moment you get on first sight.

The way your body tingles, the sudden increase of energy.

The nervousness, perspiration and loss of control that your body exhibits during.

The constant want of attention from this person.

When you have them, all you want is to hold and cherish every, single, moment.

The touch of their skin, the feel of their presence within yours, is overwhelming.

The look in their eyes, the happiness in their smile.

The consistent urge, to never let go. 

Though we may experience love many times, you can only have one true love.

One that you can not live without, that is always on your mind.

That you dress up for even though they already have seen your bad side.

The person you can tell anything and everything to, that you trust one hundred percent.

And I, have found him.
