Diamond Wanna Bee

Diamond Wanna Bee

A Poem by Mariah Renae

Melting under heat

Self-imposed pressure

They say a diamond

Is made under pressure

I feel more like shattering glass

A poser

A diamond wanna bee

Buzzing in my ears

Over and over and over

Please

just stop

Honey

A soothing sweetness

Too sweet

artificial replacement for

An irreplaceable
