A promiseA Poem by Trinity EssexA insight into a black mind virtuous
It was one night to be told, that with such fright
Came terror and anguish this woman who married this man, Would choose one so black. For many years previous their was such horror. In the forest 20 years since my Mother died at the hands of a monster. And now I am marrying the very monster who done that deed, I did not know until I found that proof, This monster was no friend or foe or even my father it was a stranger who came and took a chance, But who took this day to tell me so, Another who is my friend came and said, Why should they be believed.I will marry this man and try to find the truth. If it is so he shall pay for my Mothers demise.. For I will condemn any who brings torture to any living thing..
