The Thread

The Thread

A Poem by Margaux Alchem

In the abyss of confusion

My feet walk forward

I was about to fall

When a voice cut my turmoil

“Stop,” Think twice.

It seemed to hold me back

But I still jumped unknowingly

Then I was falling

With the thought,

“Will my fall be hard?”

Suddenly, a thread grasped my thumb

I was surprised

Now I was hanging on the mid air

Looking up above

I saw you , O Lord!

How can I be so foolish?

To forget  that all along

You are there for me

Hope sprung in my heart

Thanks to the thread my Lord.

Slowly as you pulled me up

I have no fear of falling

I understand that,

Every mistake will loosen the thread

But I’ll cling tighter to it

Every obstacle will mar it

But I’ll collect new pieces to patch it

Until then, I will really reach

Your Glory, and My Salvation.

Its a really top poem. So much emotion embedded within your writing. You have expressed this well, especially around any doubts or confusions felt.
