KaleA Poem by marcus
Most meaty of greens
Oh, how I fear you As the new beef you are proclaimed But what's wrong with the old one? A power packed punch, of nutrition you may be But instead, for some reason, you punch my sanity For to the eye you appear, like an innocent lettuce Yet somehow, you are most thick, heavy, almost like leather An alien plant From a jungle on a far off world Where the leaves grow so big That they eat people alive! Every time I eat you I feel you should be eating me I fear you will come alive, and devour me whole A plant with blood pulsing through It's leafy veins, seeking... Vengeance For so many a devoured kin © 2015 marcusReviews
