Little Angel's Voice

Little Angel's Voice

A Poem by Marc Marlon Villaflor
"

The unwanted child

"

Dark, cold and lonely space,
I cried, fears in my soul, confused about what the future may bring,
Chaotic, heartless, reality; we’re separated,
I've been hurt, I’ve languished pain, I’ve wished I never lost you, I've been haunted,
You never give me a chance to call you my Mother,
It breaks my heart my little angel, we've made a terrible mistake,
I dreamt about you and my father, seems I have your eyes and I have my father’s face,
You look like your father my son, and your eyes, so beautiful like mine,
I wish I could kiss you, hold you and cry with you,
I am sorry; I am too scared to fight for you my baby boy,
I wish you could hear my voice and feel the beat of my heart,
Sorry, I am sorry my angel, Goodbye…

Author's Note

Marc Marlon Villaflor
Every year thousands of unwanted babies aborted, abortion is a massive ungodly practice of Doctors and Medical Practitioners that cost sometimes the life of the mother. I write this poem to give voice for those little angels that died and deprived a chance to live in this world.

I really liked that you told this from two perspectives. It is hard on a mother to give away her child (at least I should hope that it is) and it is sad. You do a great job expressing the regret, fear, anxiety, and love felt by both mother and child in this piece. I will stay away from arguing the moral issues here I think this could be used to persuade others to change their minds on this topic. Very powerful, great job.

Such a sad sentiment. This is powerfully emotional. I like that you take on the "bigger issues" with your writing, though sometimes I wish you'd go a little more into yourself instead of being so global about it. The writing was good; strong flow and intensity carried throughout, just a little global for my taste. Thank you for sharing, though!

Too true. It disgusts me that innocent children are killed in such a manner... I've written some poems on the topic, but haven't posted them... I think I shall soon. Thank you for putting this up.

This poem tore at my heart. People don't view life as sacred. They see it as disposable. It is a sad thing. I hear too many people hide behind the rape issue. That is a minority of abortions. The truth is a lot of people lay down with a person and then want to find a way to get rid of the result. It is a sad affair and one that many refuse to honestly talk about. Great job on this poem Marc.

Thanks a lot Bro. :)
actually there is a huge debate going on about this very subject
an abortion clinic has been closed-in this clinic five babies have been found some in jars some in the trash...fetuses (babies to me)
lost little precious souls...how do we know that one just one was going to be the person to bring world peace how do we know...we don't
the catholic church one priest in particular wants to properly bury these souls however a senator is fighting against it- the vote or judicial decision is due in any day
so this write is touching and lovely but also very prominent in today's society and news
this vote could change so many laws about the placement of these babies and how they will be laid to rest...I am watching earnestly
thank you so fine sir this is shows the brave soul that you have
