The Last Escape

The Last Escape

A Poem by Marc Marlon Villaflor

His sinful soul drifts in the ocean of sinister

The mad dog strikes chaos

The callous legion spites nightmare.

He dedicated his life diminishing the feeble

His dark logic booms to his vicious goal

The unwanted walks into the abyss

Slowly vanquishing the entire race

The time has come his power began to end

The felonious slayer fled with his queen

He bolted out from the realm of his mystic cosmos

Hiding in the bunker of indefinite mode

She stood with his ethereal world

Blindly embracing the aberrant thought

She escaped the world with his love

Red army chasing the pair

The monster is hiding inside the bunker

Cyanide gives her the promise of love

Bullet embedded in his dome

In his last minute he crawled to death

In her last minute she cried

She ended with a real love

While he ended in hell

I understand the human need for a hell...... where we need to be satisfied that the wicked of this world will languish in an eternal torment of suffering commensurate with their earthly deeds, but I cannot subscribe to it. My personal take on this is that these individuals are the extreme manifestation of a trait in human character which is inherent. There is a paradox in humankind which has occupied anthropologists and philosophers since time immemorial . p.

For whence the bunker falls and bells shall ring the halls. Very cool Marc. I like the way you laid this out. It told a story in a deceptive but brilliant way.

Thanks Mr. Jack, I value your words as precious, you are always my inspiration :)
This is very cleverly put together Marc and you have done your homework too. It's definatley about the two individuals I had in mind. You seem to have a very educated view on how you write your poetry at times....whereas I am guilty of writing from the heart or experientially from life's trials. My take on the world nowadays is that one must have shadow to be able to perceive light hence a balance.

Yes :)
Wow, this is some hard core imagery packed into fairly small and tight little poem. I rather liked the darkness and matter of fact quality of this one. You've done some research and it shows, which tells me that you are a serious writer. Some amazing lines in this one. Well done.

Great piece or work here Marc...hell would certainly be too easy, maybe suffer a million times over what he inflicted, I'm pretty sure that was worse than hell....

It might be comforting for you and others to state 'he ended in hell' but sadly, mon ami, this is no more than a leap of faith.

Tres bien
You have an excellent idea of which words to use - it is clear you read a lot, or perhaps just have a great sense of what is enticing to the reader. I think you have some great potential. And this is both seeping in romanticism and passion for writing. However, I feel your end-stopping structure deprives this piece of the flow it is capable of. Perhaps leading some lines next will not be a detriment to the trauma you are trying to convey. Lovely write though
