A DIVINE INTERVENTION

A DIVINE INTERVENTION

A Poem by MarcoftheBeast

A DIVINE INTERVENTION
i whispered something to belial
but the poor demon pointed to the sky
he screams loud in full jealousy
so loud that it made the angels tremble
i whispered something to belial
the demon shed tears of blood
he closed his flaming eyes so shut
and falls to his knees looking up to the heavens
i whispered something to belial
that made him so angry and full of hate
that he spoke to the clouds in full blasphemy
that made icarus plummet to the ground
i whispered something to belial
that he arise and looked at me innocently
the demon carried me to his back and flew
to the heavens, to the skies, to the angels up above
then belial whispered something to me
that made my burning conscience cry
his demon tears he gave me....
then whispered something to me...
i prayed that this demon shall never shed his tears anymore
i prayed that he shall never look up to the skies again
i prayed that i could whisper something to god the same
the same as what i whispered something to belial.

. this is sheer awesomeness, your awesomeness ... (ah, sweet revenge :P) ... even though you are enchanting in being so poetically secretive about what was whispered ... for me this is a grand and poignant metaphor for all "demons" who are pronounced "demons" ... misunderstood and misrepresented ... and even i have not figured god out yet ... when i think of the many sentences i have served and continue to serve ... and i do think i am innocent ... i can't help but wonder where god is ... but then i am observant ... and while i serve my sentence ... i have visitors ... and they are people ... and they say the words that i want to hear ... you included ... and i think ... (do pardon my explicit vocabulary) ... wtf ... i am blessed because my visitors are made of bread, jam and a little god ... and just coz god is not made of god ... i'm not gonna belittle people ... this is an unforgettable masterpiece ... you said so much through your silence ... yes, this is a very silent poem ... it only just about whispers ... and even then ... one doesn't know what's being whispered ... you are an exceptional poet and human being ... it's more than evident ...

Perfect. No other words to describe it.

We often think of demons as the torturers, not the tortured. I love it.

Tricky. Very clever word play. I had to read this a few times to really get it. Amazing! Seems like demons are really misunderstood. The flow of your poem was lovely.
Loved it (:
