I terrify byA Poem by M. Shepherd
I terrify by
you and those eyes you stole from the surface of the surf, an algal cerulean chlorinated swamp forest of peat moss, ferns, nettle - I heed their call I fall into your tear ducts, salty. If I could I'd peak through mine from behind a cloak - where you can't see me there is less gravity, see, I'd float not to weigh the weight that yanks me to you, that face, for fear it turns away, suddenly or otherwise, I terrify. Golden skin, cornsilk hair glinting, a jaw of tawny bristles, I shiver at the thought, caught by the chill of such a warmth. I think you wait patiently for the sometimes of me. My rare brilliance charm, ingenuity - flecks of dust in a still pond of poetic silence. You crash forth fervently plagued by ideas engulfed in flames - where I maunder and ponder and sip slowly as not to burn my mind too many times on life. © 2017 M. ShepherdReviews
