Erode with me

Erode with me

A Poem by M. Shepherd

Eroded smooth by liquor like grooves
in salted granite, centuries used.
Skin slicks liquified
Slip slide saponified
And I
Oil you cleansed with my
Nectar and swallowed swill,

Will you spin with me and kiss my wrists?
Disarm me of pen and rewrite me of listlessness?
I cripple by rippling rabble, roused
cruddy butter by rapidly paddling mouse.

Boil me slowly as frog and I'll not jump your waters.

-- quaint, powerful, poignant, infinitely poetic poetry... -- "rewrite me of listlessness" (for me) is a particularly compelling image and expression...
