A Poem by marcia

I thought I let the sea shells sink

But I keep finding sand in my bed

Im sleeping anxiously on Cornish rocks

Waves crashing against my head

I wished upon a star tonight

To let me swim away

But fear of water keeps me here

A dark shadows watching me decay

Sunshine’s warmth reminds me where I am these days

Its easy to forget

When all u have is a front, a face, a smile

And a ball and chain of regrets

I wonder on forever more

with a memory that’s turned to a haze

Everyday I wake im one free of another misery

Deepened cuts begin to fade to a graze
