Ode to a Wretched

Ode to a Wretched

A Poem by Deidre
"

A poem depicting the fate of a fearless wanderer mingled with mythological figures

"
Hither hither thou young lad there

Who darest seek my secret lair.

Ponder ponder how to escape,

Thou cannot save thy severed nape.

Thither thither thou shalt be slaught

And the calm of the altar's lamb be taught.

Quiver quiver although thou may

Thou shalt not tear thy toughened chain.

Yonder yonder thy blighted breath

Whicher shalt dwell in Hades depth.

Whimper whimper as thou do wish

Yet nought divert the Cyclop's dish.

Alas alas the deed is done,

A fable for the fearless one.
